One of the nations more aggressive hospital systems
is looking for a strong analyst who is focused on progression and
being a truly influential part of the Decision Support team. This
role offers the opportunity to be on the fast track for management.
Seeking only candidates who want to be challenged and thrive a
fast paced environment. This position will be working directly
with executive management on a daily basis and must be able to
clearly communicate complex financial data
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for ongoing service line profitability
monitoring through the use of all decision support applications
to ensure operational efficiencies and budgetary targets are
met system-wide.
• Develop, design, and present strategic business plans
while compiling and analyzing data for corresponding financial
pro forma’s aimed at expanding existing service lines and/or creating
future service lines
• Prepare all financial pro forma’s for executed and
proposed Managed Care contracts in order to evaluate and model
future revenue implications of proposed contractual rates within
historic and expected patient mix populations.
• System administrator for building and maintaining
all Managed Care contractual rates and terms within Contract Management
System ensuring full automation of internal allowancing practices
and payer adherence to all terms associated with executed contracts.
• Develop and maintain internal controls for all Managed
Care Payer Contracts through ongoing statistical and financial
analysis while analyzing terms for additional revenue opportunities.
• Responsible for a variety of ongoing revenue cycle
management audits: departmental charge capture, cost accounting,
patient financial services allowance practices, denial & bad
debt management, clinical coding practices, etc.
Qualifications:
• 5+yrs experience in hospital setting, prefer to have
experience payor side as well.
• BS finance or related field required, MBA or MS in
Health Systems Management preferred
• Must have experience with the following McKesson
Data Services Products.
• Horizon Performance Manager (HPM),
• Trendstar,
• Pathways Contract Management (PCM),
• Horizon Business Insight (HBI),
• Series Pt. Accounting System
