If you were assigned to build a brand new, direct sales territory
for one of the Wind Industry’s flagship manufacturers, how would
you do it?
Does this question intrigue you? If it does, I have a few more:
• Is applying your capital equipment sales, extended
sales cycle, and executive sales management background to renewable
energy a source of passion?
• Are you tired of working for a poorly funded, slow
moving, bureaucratic company?
• Are you excited by a career path that would position
you to ultimately run an entire strategic business unit with full
P&L
responsibility, reporting directly to a global CEO?
• Would you find a position where the performance of
your territory was tied to your overall compensation motivating?
If the answer was “yes” to any of the above questions,
I’d like to have a conversation with you. My name is Joshua Schukas,
and I’m a headhunter who specializes in working with companies
in the wind industry who have needs for senior level project management
and business development professionals.
One of my clients is one of the world’s leading
manufacturers of industrial scale wind turbines with direct operations
in the United States. Previously, between the development arm of
the company and “call-in” orders, the company had more than enough
orders. But in the last six months, this company has added a new
head of their manufacturing division who has decided future sales
of the company will best be driven by a direct sales force. Later
this fall they plan to launch one of the industry’s most efficient
turbines ever produced, and they have determined harnessing the
power of a direct sales force is the best way to capitalize on
this expansion. Consequently, their next key hire is going to be
the Territory Sales Representatives for each of their geographic
divisions.
The right person for this job is someone who’s
long term vision and industry contacts will immediately create
and continue to foster an environment built directly around their
customer’s needs. I’m looking for someone who knows how to develop
a multiple-call sales cycle with some of the wind industry’s most
established development organizations.
Because, for the right person, this will be an
opportunity to further develop your management skills, work with
a well-financed organization nimble enough to actually implement
the change you recommend, and receive a lucrative compensation
package, including a generous base salary, a performance bonus,
a full benefits suite, and relocation assistance.
