Responsibilities:
• Develop and prepare financial analyses, financial
projections, and financial modeling.
• Reporting and interpretation of budget, cost, statistical
and outcomes data,
• Establishing and maintaining costing methodologies,
• Overseeing system requirements and training needs
regarding the Decision Support System
• Supporting the financial planning process through
analysis and evaluation of financial viability of prospective business
ventures, major capital investments and strategic planning projects.
• Responsible for maintaining all modules within the
HBO’s Trendstar system (cost accounting, product line management
and contract management modules) and Developing decision support
capabilities and data management disciplines to improve the quality
of information and data available.
• Supporting contract negotiations with managed care/payer
organizations and analyzing the profitability contracts for all
major payers. This position
• Provides direction, leadership, and mentoring to
DSS Staff (Jr. Analyst to Sr. Analyst)
• Analyze the profitability of various lines of service
and products
• Assist in establishing new polices and procedures
in areas of DSS, Planning, Reimbursement, Budgets, Reporting, Accounting,
Revenue Cycle, and Managed care contracting
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, IS or related
field.
• CPA, MBA, or M.S. in Health Systems Management preferred.
• 10+ years experience in heath care.
• 5+ years prior management experience in health care
• Demonstrated ability to strategically align a DSS
group
• Must have recent working experience with Trendstar
