A wonderful Long Term Care Facility is seeking an experienced Health & Wellness Director to join its team. In this position, the Director will be expected to manage the day to day healthcare operations of the community to ensure that each resident receives excellent care as their healthcare needs are met. The Director is responsible for the supervision, direction, and leadership of the facility nurses, and must also educate the staff on proper medication administration and resident care. In this position you must follow the Nurse Practice Act in the assessment of procedures and training of the nursing staff. Assists with the prescreening of prospective residents. Monitors each resident’s needs and coordinates with family, other departments or the resident’s physician when required. Maintains the continued care of residents receiving home care, hospice, or other healthcare related services. Follows facility and/or state regulations on documentation. The director will participate in the assistance of maintaining a safe work environment for employees, meetings in regards to residents or facility improvements, and community functions. Will also share in on call or on duty requirements. Must have state nursing licensure and at least 3 years of related experience, and the ability to make decisions or solve problems using current procedures and guidelines. Must also have clinical experience. Basic computer skills are required with Microsoft Windows being preferred.
