One
of the nation’s largest producers of copper base alloy ingots seeks
a top of the line Metallurgist for their technical expertise and
also their ability to provide process improvement in their smelting
and recycling facilities.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
• Provide technical expertise in the daily melting
process to solve material or process related problems in the plant.
• Travel to customers’ sites to provide technical support.
• Evaluate production techniques and recommend improvements
to reduce costs and raise product quality.
• Seek and recommend new processes, procedures, etc.
• Document foundry processing procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Must have an advanced degree in Metallurgy or
related field.
• Experience with copper based castings and non-ferrous
foundry operations is a MUST. Candidates without
copper experience will not satisfy the requirements for this
position.
• Exceptional oral communication skills are a necessity.
